Gérard le Gentil has always had a passion for artistic expression, whether it be, of course, for painting, but also for theater, poetry and music…
At the age of fifteen, he painted his first works, drawing inspiration from the great masters he so admires such as Turner, Monet, Van Gogh, Derain…
During his adolescence and his studies, he frequently visited the hill of Montmartre, which was the paradise of Gen Paul, Utrillo and many others. He started learning pictorial art in the different studios of painter friends. From his many encounters, studio classes, lectures on art history and on works dealing with different techniques, he discovered the pleasures of composition and of color harmony.
In 1965, Gérard le Gentil began exhibiting at the Gallery of Parnasse in Paris. His works have been successively exhibited in Paris, then in Angers, Alençon, Nantes, Saint-Emilion, Cahors, Biarritz, Montélimar, Saint-Paul de Vence, among others,...
Gérard le Gentil also exhibits his work abroad, namely in the USA, Switzerland, and Belgium...
